Week 2 – North Shore!
Game 1 is in the books, now it’s time to hit the road!

Weekly Schedule
The weather is cooling off this week! Rehearsals will start at 5PM – outside on the grid at 9th grade.
Monday – no rehearsal, enjoy the day off!
Tuesday – 5-8PM
Wednesday – class only
Thursday – 7AM jazz band, 5-8PM marching band
Friday – game day!
North Shore trip
Attire: Travel uniform. No jackets/pants. Layers suggested for the bus.
Schedule for North Shore:
3rd period – students released from class – load truck, change clothes (travel uniform)
11:00 students eat lunch at CHS cafeteria
11:30 load buses
12:00 depart for North Shore
Dinner stop en route – TBD
6:00 arrive North Shore HS/Galena Park stadium, unload, set up
6:45 Alma Mater
7:00 kickoff
10:00 game ends, load truck and buses
10:30PM depart for CHS (4 hours 10 minutes, 266 miles)
Stop en route for snacks/stretch
3:30AM arrive, unload truck, dismissed

Due to limited bus space, this trip will be only Varsity marching students (including all colorguard and pit percussion). J Block students will not travel this week.

USBands Crowley 10/4/25
Hosting USBands is a huge fundraiser for the band program! This is a joint effort with the NCHS Mighty Panther Band. We need all hands on deck to make the event a success!
Event Host volunteers
Parents and students can sign up for various jobs around the stadium! We need help on various shifts from 6 AM to 11 PM. Students can earn service hours for working shifts! Some jobs are adults only, some are open to students. Details on the signup.

MEB Operations volunteers
The MEB performs at the contest in the afternoon (approximately 2PM, will be finalized soon). We need parent help to push on and off the field. Sign up here:

Come join us at UNT HS Band Day 2025! Students will rehearse with the UNT Green Brigade Marching Band and perform on the field with the GB at halftime!

Parents (and students who are 18), come join us at AT&T Stadium! Working with BEST Event Management pays $11/hour into your band account. The work is easy, and most positions have a view of the game! Background check and NFL credentialing required, paperwork takes about a week to process, so start now!
